Alison Link receives Golden Apple Award

Keith Elementary server and PTA President, Alison Link, received a Golden Apple Award at the March 5, 2026 Board of Education meeting.

Link was nominated by Laurie Aughenbaugh, who is an ASD paraeducator at Keith Elementary, because she is known for treating everyone with care, warmth and respect. She is especially patient, kind and attentive with students with unique needs, creating a calm, supportive, and welcoming environment each and every day.

“Alison goes above and beyond to make every student feel seen and valued,” said Aughenbaugh. “She knows students by name, greets them with a smile and celebrates birthdays with a special sticker at her register. Those small gestures that leave a lasting impression.”

One recent example shared was how Link made sure to find a student who missed the breakfast line just to wish her a happy birthday and give her a sticker. Moments like these truly capture the heart she brings to her work every day.

Beyond the cafeteria, Link serves as Keith Elmeentary’s PTA President, giving her time and energy to support students, staff and school events in countless ways.

“Alison’s dedication, generosity and school spirit make a meaningful difference throughout the entire Keith community,” concluded Aughenbaugh.
