Clifford H. Smart Middle School’s relay teams shined at the Oakland County Championship meet shattering four school records on Thursday at Clarkston High School.

Three girls’ teams broke records in the 4x200 meter, 4x400 meter and 4x800 meter relays, as well as one boys’ record fell in the 4x800 meter relay.

Allie Turner, Brogan Miller, Allyson McClure and Aubrey Atwood set the new mark with a team personal record in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:53.64. The girls placed fifth overall after winning the Lakes Valley Conference title a week ago.

Turner and Atwood were joined by Addisyn Atwood and Kara Alt for the 4x400 meter relay and also set a team personal and school record with a time of 4:22.21. That was good enough for second place overall. They also took home the LVC title a week ago

Fresh off an LVC title of their own, the Trojans 4x800 meter relay team took down a program record set just a short few weeks ago. Addisyn Atwood, Jovie Rickens, Kara Alt and Ava Montante ran the race in a blazing fast 10:24.73, also taking third place overall.

On the boys’ side, Anders Olson, Isaac Zetuna, Andrew Levin and Zeke Turnbaugh etched their names in the program record books in the 4x800 meter relay. They set the new program mark a time of 9:28.50 following up their LVC title with a sixth place finish at the county meet.
